Traffic Alert: MLK bridge over I-35 to close for demolition Friday, Saturday night

Based on the news, the Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard bridge at Interstate 35 is expected to be closed over the weekend for continued demolition of the north side of the bridge, according to the Texas Department of Transportation or TxDOT. In addition, the construction project is part of the continued effort to expand I-35 in Austin. Lastly, closures begin Friday at 10:00 in the evening and continue through 10:00 in the evening on Saturday morning. TxDOT said they resume at 9:00 on Saturday and continue through 10:00 Sunday.
